From 166 to 1000 projects and beyond…

166 is the street number of Via Cavour in Florence where I had my artist’s studio-gallery from 2011 to 2016. Since then it has become the trademark of many personal and collective exhibitions, mine, as well Italian and foreign artists. One of the most original and stimulating projects of my city, a site of drawing and painting courses, art workshops and technique trainings (watercolor, digital painting, and illustration) and even a line of fashion accessories inspired to my works. Bags and scarves born as pure merchandising objects that gave life and soul to a great project of style and design inspired by the old Florentine tradition of my roots, today “Brunellesca” by Stefania Alba.

Today that times and opportunities they are so changed, 166arte proposes that same intent in an even more direct form and does that so through this new shop website. 166arte back to suggest works, projects, permanent and temporary exhibitions to the public of friends and enthusiasts who had known and followed us and all those who believe art and beauty are not only a privilege, but rather an universal right to benefit fully. Welcome, your visit at 166arte starts here.

From 166arte to Brunellesca You Art collection

Thanks to a wide, refined and eclectic research of images, 166a’s collection achieves an intensely urban look that combines practicality with a cool natural cosmopolitan style. Brunellesca’s bags and scarves are beyond all formal codes and meant for both man and woman or rather, for citizens of the world who work and live without borders. The prints on selected and fine materials are multiples of a limited edition of original paintings by artists of the Brunellesca project group. andreamancini.itcinziafiaschi.comrosariogenovese.com. The works of art and paintings are re-elaborated and assembled and enhanced with fabric, leather and suede details. Fabrics are transformed into style icons: accurately and impeccably designed scarves, accessories that fill the void between art and fashion while still proving to be all-purpose and practical. The Brunellesca collection is exclusively made in Tuscany combining sustainable resources with style and tradition. Unique items, a statement come to life whereby contemporary art becomes a collectable to hang in one’s wardrobe. A most different approach to fashion, distinctive of made in Italy.
